FOOD LION MVP REWARDS PROGRAM
Register and link your Food Lion MVP Card to Back River United Methodist Church and every time you shop at Food Lion and scan your MVP Card, Food Lion will give a donation back to the church!
To sign up, please follow the steps below:
1. Click on the link below or copy and paste it into your internet browser:

2. Once on the website, look for the “MVP Rewards” box towards the left of the page. Click on the “Register Your MVP Card” link in the box.
3. Scroll down and click on "Shoppers Register Here!" "Register Your MVP Card".
4. You will be brought to the MVP Shopper registration page. Enter (and re-enter) all 12 digits on the back of your MVP card (including the smaller numbers on either side of the bar code). Then click SUBMIT
5. Please enter your contact information as asked (First Name, Last Name, Phone number). Then click SUBMIT.
6. Go to the box titled "Add an Organization to Support" and enter the CODE for Back River United Methodist Church – Code 250079. You can either enter the code number in the Organization "Code:” box or you can enter “Back River United Methodist Church, Essex, MD” in the “Organization Name and/or City” boxes. Then click FIND.
7. Add “BACK RIVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH” as your organization to support by clicking the “ADD” button.
8. When the confirmation page comes up listing BACK RIVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH as your current organization, you are done. You may then sign out.

What is LionShop & Share?
LionShop & Share is the easiest, most convenient way to raise money for your local not-for-profit organization. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to the school, church or other local not-for-profit organization you have selected. Food Lion knows it is important to be involved in the local communities in which it serves, and LionShop & Share is our way of helping you help your community grow and prosper.
Who can participate in LionShop & Share?
LionShop & Share is generally open to all local not-for-profit organizations. Food Lion reserves the right to refuse participation by certain organizations such as political parties and affiliated political action committees and groups. Please remember, a Food Lion donation does not mean Food Lion necessarily endorses the activities of a specific organization.
Please note that we will not be enrolling additional organizations for participation until we announce our new enhancements.
How can I get my Not-For-Profit organization signed up?

How do I know if my not-for-profit organization is registered for the program?
Search for your not-for-profit organization. If your not-for-profit organization is not on this list encourage them to sign up through our website.
How can I make changes to my Not-For-Profit organization’s information?
To update orqanization information such as phone number or contact information, etc you can mail changes to PO Box 14758, Pittsburgh, PA 15234 or fax changes to 412/831-9353 or call 800/352-4658.
How do I register members to support my Not-For-Profit organization?
To register members, use the Member Registration Form and enter the members’ Food Lion MVP 12-digit number, name and phone number.
How much money can my organization earn?
At the end of each quarter Food Lion will divide the funds proportionally among the LionShop & Share organizations depending on their total accumulated sales. Checks are sent to the LionShop & Share organizations approximately six weeks after the quarter ends. In order to receive a check in any quarter, an organization must earn at least $10 during that quarter. A check will be issued once the $10 threshold has been reached the following quarters. There will be a cap of $350 per organization per quarter.
What if I would like to support more than one organization?
You may only register for one organization per quarter, but you have the option to change the organization you wish to support before each new quarter begins.
How do the quarters run?
- January 1 - March 31
- April 1 - June 30
- July 1 - September 30
- October 1 - December 31
What if you lose/damage your MVP card and are issued a new card?
You will need to link your new card number to your supporting organization via the website.
How far in advance do you need to register?
You will need to link your card for the organization you choose to support prior to the beginning of the new quarter. It is not necessary to re-register every quarter once the card has been registered. You only need to re-register if you want to change the organization you are supporting. Otherwise, the registration carries from quarter to quarter.
