Helping the Less Fortunate

Churches for Streets of Hope - Homeless Men’s Shelter

Our church is a coalition partner that supports the Streets of Hope Men's Homeless Shelter by providing a full hot dinner once a month during the winter months (Nov. – April).  We also take donations of men’s clothing, socks, shoes and coats, as well as donations of furniture, various household items, kitchen items and accessories when one of the men is able to move into an apartment.

School Supplies Campaign - Each September we have a very large school supply drive within our church. This year the congregation was “challenged” once again to fill the back of Ford SUV. We were able to provide 3-4 boxes full of school supplies to 1 senior high school, 1 middle school and 1 elementary school closest to our church. There were a large number of notebooks and 8 cases of loose leaf paper for the senior high that they determined was the most needed for their school

Operation Christmas Child

Our church participates in the Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child campaign each year. We fill shoe boxes with small gifts (toys, snacks, school supplies, crafts and our prayers for that child) in Oct. & Nov. The boxes are then delivered to our area “drop off church”. From there, the cartons of shoe boxes are taken to the Baltimore/Washing-ton Processing Center to be sent on their way to children across the globe so that they receive materials and hear about the Jesus. Then they receive the shoe boxes and learn that someone far away loves Jesus and each of them too.

Making Christmas a happy time
We support several families at Christmas time and throughout the year.
